Ian Mills

Ian Mills is a senior managing consultant with particular skills in client needs assessment and post survey strategy generation and implementation. He has been involved in a wide range of assignments for various public and private sector organisations. Typically, these have involved liaison with the client in the formulation of the brief and the proposal, an overview of the project and specific involvement with the interpretation of results, together with report production and presentation. This latter includes post presentation activities, including implementation workshops.

Postal Consultation

SMSR offer a full in-house postal survey service. All our mailouts are collated, checked and franked at our Head Office in Hull. We use the Royal Mail collection service (PPI) to distribute the questionnaires and all returns are monitored, tracked and reminder questionnaires are sent out if required. Read more >>

Our online surveys are designed to achieve maximum interest and to make it as easy as possible to complete. SMSR have a highly successful method that ensures a good attendance to any type of focus group. We have refined the art of focus group recruitment, facilitation and report writing over our 20 year history.

We always approach the focus group process with our own unique personal style. We have a dedicated team of recruiters that make initial contact over the telephone, giving full details on what the group process is about, where it is and why it is being held. The potential attendee is told how long it will last and are usually offered an incentive for their time.
